|Message from Addl.Superintendent of Police (Traffic) - Mahendra Jain|
||Bhopal , capital of Madhya Pradesh is coming up as an educational hub and attracts a large number of people from different parts of the country. City's population is increasing rapidly with a proportionate increase in the number of vehicles without commensurate increase in road length. The number of vehicles registered in Bhopal has already crossed 6 lakh mark and a sizeable vehicular traffic joins Bhopal roads from the neighbouring districts and states. The roads of Bhopal witness wide range of motorised and non-motorised vehicles.
Traffic regulation and reducing the number of accidents and road death stands high on our priority. Inculcating road sense and discipline amongst road users are equally important .Several resource constraints never stop Traffic Police in making continuous efforts for ensuring safe and smooth movement of traffic on roads of Bhopal. We are in the process of upgrading our systems as well as increasing the strength of traffic personnel to meet the challenges lying ahead. Traffic Police cannot succeed without the active cooperation of the road users and citizens at large.
|Our website will provide very useful information on road safety and traffic rules along with an important forum for citizens to offer suggestions or to lodge complaints. I am sure that this website will act as a bond to forge a strong relationship with the citizens of Bhopal.|
